During the day when my girl is away at school, I will spend the time with my boy playing. I will tire him out in about 3 hours and then he will have the afternoon nap, which I always look forward to. Then I will have my own private time doing what I love to do. Er, that's usually sleeping beside him. But other times, I will read or face the computer.
Today, though, I decided to go to the library to get some books. I've done reading with the ones I borrowed. I let my boy walked today instead of putting him in the stroller. That way he'll run out of energy when we reached home later ;-)
But letting him walk means letting him run and letting him run means I have to chase. (it's no wonder I, too, ran out of energy when we reached home!)
So, anyway, I had to chase him when I realised he was running towards an open door lift. He kept running despite my repeat loudspeaker "Rayyan! Stop! Stop!!!" I didn't care what others think. As long as my boy stops. I can be unshameful sometimes when shouting and yelling are concern :-D
He stopped a few steps before the lift. He had just realised there's a lady in there holding the door for him. I said thanks to her and we entered it smiling.
Lady in her cooing voice said to my boy, "Hello, little boy. Why were you running so fast? You like to make your auntie chase you around, is it?"
It came to me that she must have thought I'm a maid :-( Poor me.
It always make me feel annoyed when people think that. Whenever I am out with the kids alone, they will assume I'm an Indonesian maid. It's probably because my kids look like Chinese. But there are so many mixed marriages now can't they have a little bit of imagination? Even if they can't, at least don't assume. I've been told that my kids are fair skinned. That, I can explain on their parentage. But to assume me as a maid? *Sob* *Sob* *Crying my eyes out*
Time for my pills.

It's not the first time. I used to correct them. Nowadays, I don't bother. Furthermore, it will embarass them. So let them think what they want. Bak kata Christina Aguilera, I am beautiful no matter what they say, words can't bring me down. Wakaka.
