It started with a wisdom tooth. I was about 19 years old and even though was already working, I was earning peanuts (I heard it was costly to extract) and didn't care about the problem in my mouth. Everytime I chewed something hard, I'd have an unbearable pain near the jaw. It would go up to my head that felt like a terrible headache. So after about 2 years of suffering, I had it extracted by surgery because of its weird position - angled towards the front of my mouth. Then I was told that it had pushed the neighbouring tooth and that the neighbour had a decay. A filling was done.
More than 10 years later, the filling somehow had 'touched' the nerve and was causing me pains. I was advised to extract it or have a root canal done. I decided the latter.
These few days, I learned the word endodontic. I've never heard or loved an endodontist before. But meeting one today was a love at a first sight!
He numbed my mouth. He 'drilled' my tooth. He 'sucked' out the nerve tissue. He filled it with some weird cotton. He covered the hole with a whitish thingy. And voila! I can chew with that tooth now. Didn't I say I love endodontist? :D
More visits within a month. But at least I don't have to suffer the pains anymore. What can I say? I'll have to care more for my teeth from now on. Even a little bit of pain will have to be checked by a dentist. I don't want to go through another suffering...

I've just been educated on the finer points of endodontic therapy. I've gained wisdom through your suffering. Thank you :p
