I always think that my husband is not an understanding person when my guy friends are concerned. During our courtship days, he'd get upset if he found out that some guys have been calling me. From then on, I always keep such things from him. It's not that I'm lying to him. It's best to be kept unknown.

Recently, I've been in touch with a very old family friend. We've known each other since we were babies. During my single and available days, we went out a number of times and became close friends. But, somehow, we drifted apart when I met my husband. Apparently, he got married a few years later, and got a job transfer to Texas.

I wanted to tell my husband that I've been sending emails to Texas. Wanted to share with him the things that is happening in my life. But thinking that it might upset him, or make him unhappy, I kept it to myself. It's not like I'm having an affair or anything. However, today, he saw an email from him. I was afraid of what he might think.

Lucky for me, he wasn't upset or unhappy. In fact, he teased me. Phew! That shows how much I understand my own husband, eh? Sometimes you may think that you know your other half very well but you're wrong.
