Last Saturday, after walking a mile around Marina South, I decided to approach the info kiosk for, er, information.

Me : Where is the shortest way to Kidscentral Village?
Indian Army guy : Oh, you walk this way *showing to his left*
Me : Is that the shortest? Cos I'm too tired to walk that far.

Another guy came forward.

Malay Army guy : Oh, Cik nak pergi Kidscentral Village eh? Cik nak kena jalan situ lah. Paling dekat.
Malay Army guy : Cik jalan terus. Pat depan sana ada signboard. Kena belok kanan.
Me : Oh ok. Thank you. Tapi kan, awak. Kita bukan makcik lah. Kita muda lagi tau! *jeling*
Malay Army guy : *covers his mouth with his hand* Sorry! Sorry!

Cilakak punya budak. Dia panggil aku MAKCIK???!!! Aku lawa lawa camni dia panggil aku makcik??? @#$%^&*()*

Kynne, Kakak ok jugak. Macam hormat gitu. Macam sometimes I call the stallholder Abang pasal tak tahu nama dia lah. Macam panggil kedai mama punya mama 'MAN' when his name may not be 'MAN'. Eh faham tak? :p Ini dia panggil aku MAKCIK!!! Makcik kan my mother punya umur? Apa aku dah macam mak aku ke sekarang? whauahauwahuah!

I pun kadang2 kena jugak. Tapi at least dorang respect kat kita, dari panggil kita cik adik, nak mengorat namanya tu!

MrsBeki, memanglah semakin hari semakin berumur. Tapi kan, budak army tu maybe in his 20s. So tak kan lah I ni pangkat makcik seh dengan dia? Just a few years older jer. Kalau budak kecik macam anak2 kita tu memanglah patut panggil I makcik :D

Nong, sekarang aku dah pandai ah. Kalau orang panggil aku makcik, aku panggil dia pakcik. I should've said to the army guy, thank you eh pakcik :D mesti dia blur!

I was on reservist duty at JE Mrt station on the 9th... Suppose to walk ard just to show police presence.. My legs were like jelly when i reached home. Tired of walking, me and my partner hang ard the stn*Cuci mata*.. Just 5mins there and so many ppl asking us questions we don't have any idea... Maybe nowadays police uniform=information counter... tanya pasal fireworks lah, pasal show lah, pasal goodie bag lah... and my answers are.... semua main hentam ajer!!! hahah.... lucky no one came back to complain.... but the best part is one kid came up to me and said,"Abg, kakak nak kenal2...." hahah... Nasib baik budak2.... kalau tak.... deng, deng , deng......
