Mano is an ex-colleague whom I'm still in contact with. He's the only Indian friend I have, surprisingly since I'm very friendly and lovable. Hehe. We keep in touch all these years. Though he is a decade (yes decade!) older than me, he is young at heart. Wakaka! (bleargh!)
Sometimes I call him Uncle, since he is one. I denied being called an Auntie because I am (a fact) still young, compared to him :p Whenever I call him Uncle, he will jump and make a fuss that he, too, is young. Yeah, whatever, Uncle!
Uncle : So how's your daughter's exam? She did well?
Young woman : Yeah, not bad for English and Chinese. Her maths is poor, though.
Uncle : Is it? So you makan already?
Young woman : Yeah I makan already.
Uncle : So you lost your freedom now, eh? (he's referring to my earlier entry)
Young woman : Ya lor. Last night Rayyan called crying want to go home.
Uncle : Haha. So you makan already?
Young woman : Ya lah makan already.
Uncle : Eh? How come your daughter no school today?
Young woman : Aiyah, the school today close lah. Off-in-lieu for the voting day.
Uncle : Today? Stupid lah the school. Should give tomorrow off, right? Then Friday also holiday.
Young woman : Ya lor. They can't wait to have off-day lah maybe.
Uncle : Hmmm... So you makan already?
Young woman : Hey, Uncle! This is the third time you're asking if I makan already lah.
Uncle : Is it? I'm that old meh?
Young woman : Ah but then??? Hahaha!
So you see, Mano, whenever you feel young, you should read this entry. And ponder on your age. Heehee. And since you like to call me everytime you read my entry (instead of leaving a comment), I'm expecting him call me right.... NOW! :p
