Why is it so difficult to find a good place to eat after dark at the western side of Singapore? Especially if you don't want to eat the usual fried rice, mee goreng and nasi lemak. I was craving for some Fish'n'Chips but I doubt we can find it anywhere after 10pm near our place.
So my sister-in-law recommended the newly opened Taman Serasi at Botanic Gardens. She hasn't been there but heard that it's re-opened now. So we went and were disappointed. It isn't anything near like the old Taman Serasi. The old one was like the old Sate Club near City Hall. Opened air, business till late at night, good food, good teh-tarik and all that. But the new Taman Serasi is exactly like a foodcourt in a shopping mall. It's air-conditioned, and from what I see from a distance, it has more Chinese stall than Malay and Indian stall. So sad. And of course, when we reached there at 10pm, it has closed.
So where else? We drove around the area and hey, we saw a Prata Cafe! Why does anything cafe sounds like something stylish? Hehe. So we stopped by the road and parked illegally. I doubt the Traffic Police will come and give us a ticket, because they will have to give a whole loads of tickets because there were so many cars!

Most of the good eating places are in the east. East rocks! Yeah!! :D
That prata cafe looks good. Will get mummy and daddy to check it out one day. Thanks for the recommendation.

Night time white balance adjustment, set to "daylight" mode, it should be able to give you a clear/contrast picture than just "no flash" mode.
Chewwaaaaaahhhhh! Macam pro. Ahakz!

There is a Mr Prata outlet near my place in Tampines, about 2 minutes walk. Actually it is like a coffeshop but they sell all types of pratas including set meals and other food as well. They are open 24 hours too. I do agree with booboo and lizanoor that when it comes to food, east is best.
